Re: [cobalt-security] Configuring SSL on a Cobalt Raq 2

Theo,

I had no problem creating the SSL cert for our Raq 3 server. I went through the GUI and entered all the info in the SSL Settings area for the virtual site. It then generated a self-signed certificate for me. Then, once I got my key from Thawte, I simply cut and pasted the new info in the certificate and it recognized it. The certificate was generated in a folder called certs in the root folder of the site not the server root. I'm sure that the ssl settings on the Raq 3 servers were created as a result of the Raq 2 confusion.

That goes for me as well with my RaQ3...

I cannot seem to figure out where to place my secure documents in the web-tree so that they work as ssl pages...?  I have created a virtual site with it's own IP, but the SSL certificate I think is inhereted from the man webadmin site...

Can Anyone Help Us?

To anyone who can help me, I purchased, downloaded and installed the SSL package file from Cobalt on my Raq 2 server. Then I tried creating a Test Certificate and entered my info. I had no problems. Now how do I access the https directory, where do I place the protected files and how do I link to them. I have more questions, but first things first. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Dan Diehl
