No, The Raq2 (did I mention that?) does not seem
to have a ROM mode. So it looks like the only salvation will be the restore disk
(sob!) and hellava lot of backup work. It doesnt show a 'hit space for ROM mode'
prompt at boot up if I look at the console. I am right here? The Raq2 has NO
single user mode to allow me to reset the Root passwd?
Also, I would like to upgrade sendmail on a RaQ3,
for some reason the system is putting
'undisclosed reciepient' in user mailboxes, after
it has made it to the correct user. Somewhere its stripping the To: field out.
Wierd, anyway I think Sendmail required an update for security reasons.
Does anyone have any information about updating
the Sendmail binary /config on the Raq3? Is this a security .pkg or a
manual compile? I looked on Cobalt.com but it looked as though the last security
update was in Februrary :(
Just one last tidbit.. does anyone know which
security packages to *avoid*, I've heard some of you mention systems falling
over after using the .pkgs.
Cheers,
