[cobalt-security] Question about patches

One of the patches (I think the OS-Update 3.0) increased the amount of POP
connections on our RaQ2 from 40 to 200 I believe.  However, this seems to
have caused lockfiles (under /var/spool/mail) to appear constantly, not sure
why, and as thus causes procmail to crap up, not distribute mail, because
its waiting on queue.  Any idea whats causing this, and how to prevent it?
