Re: [cobalt-security] Spam from this list

Chris I understand your problem and agree it must stop.

However hacking someones server isn't acceptable at all..... you've done the stupid thing of telling people who you are!

Anyway don't be supprised if the person finds out its you, legal action will be taken!

Don't take this as me being against you or anything as I totally agree with you on this one. But hacking isn't on.

Anyone else which to comment, maybe someone from Cobalt on this issue?

Mark

Subject: [cobalt-security] Spam from this list

People have been using this list to send spam to participants by grabbing the e-mail of respondents.  I am not going to name names, but I think it is horribly unfair.  Most people here seem like good netizens.  However, those of you who are acting irresponsibly are spoiling it for the rest of us.

Please stop.

I have identified one offender, and I have broken into your server to look around.  If you don't stop, your server will become inoperative without data loss.  Failing that, I will approach your ISP and lodge a complaint.  Most ISPs will boot users who send spam.
