Greetings,
We followed the previous given instructions to disable
finger on our Qube2, and we can not turn off finger or
the who services. It is commented out in
/etc/init.conf and when we do: /etc/rc.d/init.d/finger
stop
it does not stop the services. When we do:
chkservices --list
the finger and who services are not listed, though
gated, nfs, dhcp, and some others are. I imagine the
services are in some of the rc.d files & start
automatically on re-boot since I can finger & who
right now. Also, when you type rpcinfo -a to find out
the other running "r" services, the Qube gives a not
allowed message. Any ideas here?
Cheers,
