They (Cobalt) made a change to the access.conf file in /etc/httpd/conf which prevents overides of the main settings for any htaccess files in subdirs of /home/sites... Basically you should edit that conf file:
Go to line 38 it should say:
<Directory /home/sites/>
You should be able to see the line (line 52):
AllowOverride None
And change it to what you want. I just have:
AllowOveride All

Hi All!
I recently moved a customer from a RaQ2 to a RaQ4. They had password
protection on their users subdirectory, using
AuthUserFile /etc/passwd
AuthGroupFile /bin/badsh
AuthName "Sager"
AuthType Basic
<Limit GET POST>
require valid-user
</Limit>
This .htaccess file is not working on the RaQ4. It prompts for the
password, then rejects it. Is there a different place to point for the
user information?
Thanks for your help and have a great weekend!
Laurel Mitro :)
