.pkg files on the Qube3 should be the same as a Raq4.  So, a .pkg is
just a .tar.gz renamed to .pkg.  I have a limited ammount of
documentation on the .pkg format.  But I'd rather not post it to the
list.  If you'd like it, let me know off the list, and I'll send it to
your personal e-mail account.
I don't know if a .pkg is your answer.  But I can at least help you out
with the .pkgs.
