[cobalt-security] Snort Query

Has anyone installed Snort on a Raq4?

I downloaded the rpm and typed

rpm --install   snortpackage.rpm

but rpm reported that this version did not do versions >3 or something.

Snort Site says get the latest verfsion of rpm

So  wget an rpm4.0.2  build.rpm   but of course -  very clever --

you need rpm4.0.2   to install rpm4.0.2   it's all rpm's

Am I missing something very simple here ??


Also if anyone has installed snort - are your config files available

would cut down on me work
