Hi John
I am writing out of sympathy rather than advice. I asked the same question
a few months ago and got a few reasonable sounding suggestions. None
worked. Neither did the ones I dreamt up. In the end I gave up, and am
resigned to the fact that happens - I don't like it, but can't seem to stop it.

John, Mark:
Have you done some significant researching and bush-beating on the Apache
site *and* on the Apache mailing lists with their respective archives? Have
you asked them?
I'm not trying to drive you away at all... I'm merely suggesting that most
of us here don't have the level of experience to have the kind of answers
you're looking for. Each community has its area of expertise and focus.
This is Cobalt; there's Apache somewhere else.
I'm sure that *someone* has solved your problem before... I'm just figuring
that the odds are better at finding this person at http://www.apache.org.
Good luck.
