[cobalt-security] DDOS Info and Steve!!

Hi All;

I am not a heavy poster but thanks to Steve Gibson's website and newsserver
I kept myself and a friend of mine out of trouble when the latest
security breech hit the "Net". I am on a T3 line that if
this security breech reach it's full potential here could have
managed to bring a good piece of the net to a standstill
just by the holes that M$ left in it's NT based stuff (Like IIS 4&5).

I had several months ago changed my 2 windows 2000
boxes from a stock/Pached IIS 5 to Apache and boy I am glad I did!!!
My 2 boxes alone could have been used to really nail a
big site or 2 if someone had managed to breech my servers.

As a note: I also have seen more strange traffic via my logs
and my router logs.

And if Microsoft manages to release Raw Sockets, we are all TOAST!!
Even if we use Linux or other non MS OS's.
