Use the CMU to migrate the site as indicated in Ryan's message. For the DNS
do the following:
On the old machine zip up the folder /etc/named and copy it and the file
/etc/named.conf to the new machine.
Extract it in the proper places and make sure the file permissions and
ownerships are the same as on the old machine.
Then go to the Cobalt GUI, "Control Panel" / "DNS --> Parameters" and check
the settings. Hit "save" there, go back to Control Panel and hit save there,
too.
If your IP addresses remain the same as before the migration, then you should
be all set. If you switch to new IP adresses there is an easy way to do as
mass change:
Take a look at /etc/named/records. That file is created by the Cobalt GUI and
lists all your records for all domains. You could use a good editor with
search and replace function to change the IP adresses. To activate the
changes just to to the GUI, click on Control Panel, DNS --> Parameters and
then hit save there and save again when you're back at the Control Panel.
That will distribute the changes from /etc/named/records to the appropriate
DNS-files.
