[cobalt-security] Which patches do I install? *confused*

Hello,

This is going to be one of the dumbest questions you've seen in a while:

I just got a new raq4 and want to start installing patches and securing
the system, however the raq I purchased has like 4 or the archive patches
but not the others, and also has the new kernel. How do I know what I need to
update?

>Brandon posted the following:
>Find the last pkg installed on your machine on the
>Cobalt.com>Support>Downloads page, and install everything above it.

But archive has different material, does this matter?

These are the patches that are already installed (I omit ones that are not
in archive):
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq4/eng/RaQ4-All-Security-0.0.1-8577.pkg
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq4/eng/RaQ4-en-System-0.0.6-6375.pkg
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/cacheraq4/CacheRaQ4-All-Kernel-0.0.1-2.21
6C27III.pkg
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/cacheraq4/CacheRaQ4-All-Security-0.0.1-95
31.pkg

But should I install all the other archive patches like:
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq4/eng/RaQ4-All-System-0.0.2-7709.pkg

I get the feeling the answer is no, as Brandon mentions but I am still not
certain, It might be
that the ISP that sold me the raq in the first place performed incomplete
or wrong updates?

Should all archive patches be on my raq?
If not should I bother at all with them, or just worry about the really new
ones in cobalt downloads?

-> It would be helpful if there was 1 line of text on the patch download page
that explains to dumb people like me which patches are needed, and what
to do
if you find some are already installed.

I think this kind of information should be faqqed in any case.

I hope someone can help,
Thank you,
