Re: [cobalt-security] Security issue regarding Sites Backups

While this sounds like a good answer, Jeff, it doesn't address an
important issue.

I do backups every day.

The hard disk fails. I recreate a Cobalt image on a new hard disk. I
have to restore the backups. I can't, because the system uses new site
numbers. And I made backups. I didn't make copies evey night with the
CMU.

However, there is a happy solution... It still requires a lot of work,
but it's a start...

(And no, I haven't tried it <wry grin>.)

Keep a list of the domain<->site# relationships, and then create the
sites in numerical order on your newly restored RaQ before you restore
backups.

There's still a lot more to do, and your database files, mail, etc., may
need work as well, but as I say, it's a start.
