Here is a way to accomplish it....
telnet in as admin.
stop all processes that are non-vital (don't kill inet)
edit the password file changing admin's home directory to '/'.
telnet back in as admin.
su to root
umount /home
mke2fs /dev/hda4 (or the correct partition that home is on for you).
