I am considering buying Sun Cobalt for an application. Security is
important.
How good is the Cobalt from a security view?
1. The basic firewall. Compared to other firewalls as for example Sun's
adaptive firewall, Symantec VelociRaptor, Firewall+ and Astaro? Is the basic
firewall certified?
2. How is the frequency of security problems?
3. And is updates made available fast or slow compared to Solaris and other
systems?
4. How is the quality of security updates? Do you need to verify that they
don't cause other problems?
Are there any other issues that could be important to consider?
