Sorry for my ignorance here, but should I go ahead and
update the zlib on my Cobalt RaQ3's with the RPM's for
RedHat 6.2? That wouldn't effect other programs built
with (or linked to) the older zlib would it? For
example -running a newer version of zlib before the
other programs are updated as well (e.g, the kernel)?
When I updated my RedHat systems yesterday, I just
dropped in RPM's for all the programs built around
zlib (including the kernel) and that was that..
Should we go ahead and update zlib on the RaQ's from
the RPM's off RedHat and wait for additional updates
from Cobalt/SUN for the other programs that need
updating?
Thanks
Barbara
