Re: [cobalt-security] raq3 keeps restarting itself

I seem to have a problem with my Raq3. For the last 4 weeks or so, it has

I am 99% sure the server has not been hacked, and the only thing i can dig
out of my logs as to why this is happening is:

Apr 13 19:21:36 bobcat kernel: lockd_up: makesock failed, error=-111

But then it seems the above is happening during the reboot sequence so i
dont think its that causing the problem.

Apr 13 19:05:02 bobcat named[588]: bad referral (116.154.141.in-addr.arpa !<

Apr 13 19:21:23 bobcat kernel: klogd 1.3-3, log source = /proc/kmsg started.

Apr 13 19:21:23 bobcat kernel: Symbols match kernel version 2.2.16.
Apr 13 19:21:23 bobcat kernel: Loaded 124 symbols from 2 modules.
etc ... etc ...etc

Does anyone have any idea why my server is doing this? This is about the 5
time it has rebooted its self now..

thanks in advanced

That is 16 minutes between the last entry and reboot.
A couple of questions. Is your computer plugged into a reboot device like those from Server Technology?
What is the temperature of the CPU at shutdown.
I was using a reboot device and the small AC adapter was overheating and shutting down the computer. When the AC adapter would cool down enough, the computer would come back up. It would last until the AC adapter got too hot again and it all started over again. As you don't have anything in the log and there is a gap. It sounds like the problem I had.
