I have built many machines using different processors and one cardinal rule can
save you a lot of hassle, don't mix speeds, i.e. PCC133 and PCC100, and don't mix
brands if you can. It may work, it might not, or you may have weird problems later
on and you won't know its the memory. A lot of the early SDRAM is not very
compatible with the newer stuff.
Perfect example happened last week. Friend had a stick of 64meg PCC100 in his
HP and the sales guy at CompUSA said their PCC133 would work fine. I was
skeptical - It didn't work. Luckily Staples had a stick of PCC100 and my buddies
HP computer loved it.
