Re: [cobalt-security] upgrade open ssh on raq4 - privsep problem

I have it working, i was being a fool, though i do have some more questions:

I have installed the new version of ssh from the source - was no way it was working with rpms as they were only available for redhat 7.2 and 7.3, so there were dependency problems.

It seemed to install ok, but is not working!
I did not uninstall the pkgmaster version of ssh 3.1 which I have now noticed does not install to the default location but to a cobalt one.
Can anyone tell me what to do now?
- should i remove the old ssh using the uninstall script that it comes with or is there an easier way??

Thanks for any help...

try:
# su -
# groupadd sshd
# useradd -g sshd

I have a raq3 and if I don't su - (with the hyphen) the path does not
contain the two commands you're looking for.
I have:
/usr/sbin/useradd
/usr/sbin/groupadd
