Bruce, can anyone answer how we can stop these error messages in our
adm_error logs. This has been posted several times on the security list
with a number of answers saying it is the system checking itself. We know
that much. How can we fix or stop it?
[Fri Jun 28 19:45:01 2002] [error] mod_ssl: SSL handshake failed: HTTP
spoken on HTTPS port; trying to send HTML error page (OpenSSL library error
follows)
[Fri Jun 28 19:45:01 2002] [error] OpenSSL: error:1407609C:SSL
routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:http request [Hint: speaking HTTP to HTTPS
port!?]
We understand the system is checking itself, but the log is getting huge.
Yes we have a self-signed cert.
The error like this was done away with for regular http by putting a
index.html in the /usr/admserv/html directory.
I tried index.shtml. No difference.
