Hmmm, which(where to get it) whois do you have? AFAIK whois isn't shipped
with the RaQ4 line.
I installed fwhois. Try:
rpm -ihv
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/6.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/fwhois-1.00-12.i386.rpm
