Indeed, I was simply voicing my disappointment WRT not being able
to blindly use up2date. Sorry, if that came off wrong...
(I've had a bitterly disappointing day keeping two Linux boxes
up-to-date, and I let my mood show through...)

Yeah, it's the questing across 'various Cobalt lists' that slows
me down a lot. I was hoping for a canonical, centralized repository
of support issues, but none seem to nail it on the head...
