Re: [cobalt-security] HELP ME - IM NEWBEE

Under your Outlook Express mail account setting, disable (uncheck the box) Secure Password Authentication - that's a MS-only function, no other mail server in the world recognizes it.

I have a problem with the POP3 service on my Cobalt. Im using Outlook Express and got an error messages like below :

"There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'Users', Server: 'mail.xxxxx.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] PAM authentication failed for user "xxxxx03": Authentication failure (7)', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92"
