If you still haven't figured it out. Here are my
suggestions
1. You might want to try turning off SSL as part of
your configuration on Outlook Express.
You can find this option selected on
at:
Tools>Accounts>[Your
Account]>Advanced
Chances are your server is not configured over to
allow SSL over POP3.
2. You might also want to check to see if APOP is
enabled on the server. APOP will not work with Outlook Express.
For more information you might want to search the
cobalt-users archives.

Im Newbee in Linux System. And just because my
company using the cobalt Raq system, Im asking this to You.
I have a problem with the POP3 service on my
Cobalt. Im using Outlook Express and got an error messages like below
:
"There was a problem logging onto your mail
server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'Users', Server:
'mail.xxxxx.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] PAM
authentication failed for user "xxxxx03": Authentication failure (7)', Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number:
0x800CCC92"
Note : the "xxxxx" is the domain
name.
The question is : "Why is that happened?Because
the Password is correct and successfully accept everytime I logging into my
email account using The Web Mail (NeoMail), didn't work with my Outlook
Express.What should I do??
Please Help me to solve this problem.Thank
