  8.3.3 is no problem (easy to compile and install)
  9.x.x is a little more difficult, but has good documentation.

  8.3.3 will work with the DNS GUI, not sure about 9.x.x
Where should I/we ask to find out if someone at Sun/Cobalt is working on a security update for BIND? 

If they are, I'll just sit tight and chew my nails down.

But if they're not, I want to know so I can do my own patch on my Qube NOW.
