No, SHP_REM doesn't mess with Bind. Your Bind is fine if you have either
RaQ4-All-Security-1.0.1-10749.pkg or the Solarspeed Bind-8.3.4 installed.
When in doubt, the command "rpm -qa|grep bind" will tell the version number of
your Bind8.
It should be reported as bind-8.2.3-C4, bind-8.3.3-SOL2RaQ34 or
bind-8.3.4-SOL1RaQ34. Those versions are fine.
On a sidenote: There is also a new (unannounced) Kernel for the RaQ4 available
on the FTP server: RaQ4-All-Kernel-2.0.1-2.2.16C33III-1.pkg, dated 5th
December.
