There is an easy way to bring a freshly restored Cobalt up to date on patches.
Go to ...
http://cobalt-aid2.lindist.dk/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=4
... and download the file Updater.tgz. Extract it and edit the unpacked
Updater file in an editor to change the email address in it. Then run the
file "Updater" as user root from the command line.
It will then detect the archictecture (RaQ, Qube, XTR, whatever) and will
download and install all missing patches.
At the end of the process simply reboot the RaQ and you're done.
I have patched hundrets of RaQs with it in one go, installing all packages at
once and then doing a single reboot.
Martin Moeller (the author of this script) did a really good job with it and
the latest version of this script also handles the Sausalito servers (Qube,
XTR and RaQ550) very well.
