All down to the conf
Check /etc/ssh/sshd_config
PermitRootLogin NO or YES
Then
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd restart
Will fix it either way,
The 550 did, but the recent 550 patch turned it off as default,
Iirc the pkgmaster ssh's always did, as well as allowing protacol1
fallback (which I always disable)
enjoy

Does SSH allow root to login?
I was under the impression that it did not.
My 550 does not allow root to login via SSH, but the RaQ3 and 4's do.
Have I been hacked?
If so, pointer to fix please.
Thanks in advance.
