on raq4 / raq3 the hd drive is limited to 32MB.
If you have a hd > 32MB, generaly,  you have a jumper on the HD to limit the capacity to a max of 32MB
and then solve lots of problem :)

I had a hard drive fail and purchased another EIDE and I'm having trouble getting the OS installed. Do you have to prep the drive?
I'm a windows guy so sorry if this is a stupid question.
