Not of which I'm aware.  When a kernel upgrade fails, I boot from
ROM, then manually restore the old /boot files.

Yes.  My personal slant is that glibc upgrades are _the_ ugliest
possible remote task on a Linux system -- when I must do one, I
like knowing I can rely on everything else.

I suggested the day or two delay because your client wants to
minimize reboots.  If all comes up and functions normally after
installing pgsql and kernel upgrades, you could turn right around
and upgrade glibc.
