Not really.  This was Simi Valley, Calif., early to mid 80s, just after 
Trudi & I and the kids moved there.
His place was called "Hopetown"; it had been an amusement park before he 
bought it, and he still allowed its use for community functions.  So I 
was there for Simi Valley Wild West Days.
He was there, in a reception line, but that's not really "meeting" 
someone.
I used to see his white limo around town quite a bit, though only on the 
east end, near Hopetown and the stores right around Hopetown that 
catered to the long-term dwellers instead of the recent "development" 
people.  Two of those stores were owned by a friend of mine, so I heard 
some secondhand stories, but that was it.
