[cobalt-security] SMTP

Folks-

Just joined the list. Please forgive me if this question has been
asked to death!

History: I am an NT guy with Exchange server. I am just getting into Linux
and am a two week Linu-bie!(Am I the first to coin this cool word?) I run a
closed SMTP where you have to use a username and password to authenticate to
the SMTP Gateway before you can send. This includes outside of the LAN.

Problem: I do not see the same feature available on the RaQ3i. I do not like
the idea of opening a relay for sets of IPs or whole domains and calling
ISPs to get IPs for POPs. I contract in Reston VA to large networking
companys and I have had to call ISPs and most blow you off when you ask any
question that sounds like asking for proprietary information. Not just that,
but most of my users will be traveling and from different LANs which adds a
new level of complexity. Are there any other answers?

Steve-
