I'm also one of those who says: better safe than sorry. ;o)
You know, I also bumped my Portsentry up right after installing it and I
haven't regretted it. I usually get portscanned once or twice per day and
have lots of unusal activity going on.
Next week I'll finally get around to install IPchains and will block each and
any ports and services except the needed ones.
I wonder if someone on the list has some good ipchains-rules for cobalts and
is willing to trade them.
