I don't think your named is in /etc, but rather only the config files are
there.

Those would be the actual bind binaries.

If everything gets put in its place, and the zone files work the same way,
then no... I think. But I haven't actually tried it on a cobalt.

Sounds like you might not want to try this on a mission critical machine :)
