RE: [cobalt-security] Broken Site Usage reports

I noticed that the logs are now written to 1 log file in anther directory
(web server) instead of several log files in each virtual site. I have been
working on a way around with shell scripting to split up the new log file
into several virtual files. But it's a bit teadious and I wouldn't recommend
this for a production environment.

I use Webalizer to display logfile analysis.

: hi there,
:
: it's not cron. this problem was introduced in an very old update, causing
: site usage stats to stop working (i guess the problem is in split_logs).
: i've been in contact with cobalt support for a long time, with
: both nl and
: usa, and they got to fix it on our servers. there is a pkg that corrected
: this problem for us:
:
: ftp://ftp.nl.cobalt.com/pub/beta/RaQ3-All-Security-4.0.2-4-9769.pkg
:
: as you notice this is still beta; we're still waiting for an official
: release. but it worked for us, so maybe it would work for you, too.
:
: bye, jonas.
