Thanks Carrie
They where a great help. I now have SHH installed and portsentry.
One problem maybe someone can help with? When I switched portsentry on it
reported 100's of UDP attacks. These all came from the same address as my
server with the exception of the last number e.g.:
111.111.111.30
111.111.111.199
111.111.111.107
and on and on and on...
I have put my own server address in the ignore file, but should it be an
address range instead?
My server is on a commercial server farm, does this make any difference?
I have had to switch Portsentry off for the moment as the logchecks where
getting ridiculous.
