You've made a good point, Joe. Proper netiquette requires a change in
subject (see the subject on this reply).
Sometimes we want to start a new thread. But if we want to reply (as
I'm replying to you here), then many of us old-timers do it the way I
did (see the subject here). Then replies to me could eliminate the
first "(" and everything after it.
However, those of us who read every list-message don't really look at
subject headers. My guess is that whoever changed the topic didn't even
look at the header; just answered in a way which brought the topic
around to SSL <frown>.
And then of course there are the clueless <sigh>; I must admit I look
clueless much too often, myself.
