You need to install OpenSSL, which is not on the Cobalt's. Then fetch
Net::SSLeay and possibly Crypt::SSLeay if you need that, too.
OpenSSL is easy to install. Just download it, unpack it and run ...
./configure
make
make install
To install Perl modules follow the instructions on the URL below:
http://www.solarspeed.net/sslwatch.html
That might possibly also give you some ideas for your application.
However, be sure *not* to let Perl upgrade itself to Perl 5.6.1, as that will
break the Cobalt GUI.
