hello.
apologies for the idiot question.
but a raq i run has suddenly started refusing ssh connections with the message:
Authenticated with partial success.
Permission denied ().
and i don't know why. i don't think it's a problem with the
reverse-dns - i've tried from several places and via other accounts -
and I don't think anything significant has changed in the last day or
so.
normally when i've screwed up something like this I use the 'gui' to
enable telnet temporarily. however, i allowed cpan.pm to install perl
5.6.1 on this machine not long ago and managed to bork the cobalt
tools rather badly.
so if anyone has a suggestion I'd be most grateful.
thanks
will
ps. isn't there a proverb about programmers making less than
excellent sysadmins?
