If you don't have a known-good package you can bind the old SSH on
another port as a potential backup if the 'make install' goes badly. Be
careful of library conflicts between the old and new version, however.
If all you have to rebuild is OpenSSH, you should be fine. The -p
<port-number> switch will set the old daemon listening on another port.
