This very well could be a security issue? There are several things that
could of happened.
#1 You have an old copy of formmail.pl on the server and a spammer has found
it.
#2 You have an old copy of formmail.php on the server and a spammer has
found it.
#3 In your relay for things like earthlink.net or .com .net.. and a spammer
has found it.
#4 You box has been broken into and the hacker is sending too much mail.
#5 some spammer is trying real hard to send mail.
#6 their are more reasons too...
I suggest you log in and see what your box is doing :)
