Because a T-1 gives you a guaranteed level of service, a guaranteed
uptime, a guaranteed response time for repair, and a dedicated
connection to the 'net with multiple IPs. A cable-modem is a shared
solution with no guarantees on level of service, speed, uptime, or
mean-time-to repair.

Your customers will no doubt think twice about hosting with you when you
tell them you're hosting them on a cable connection.
