byt the way the Data Sheet of Seagate ST-340810A reads:

If you have a RAID System you should get a similar to the other drives,
or you will lose capacity - a 40GB RAID with an additional
80GB HDD will stay a 40GB RAID with a loss of 40GB of useable Data
amount unless you change both drives ...
