Re: [cobalt-security] New SSH pkg problem installing

At 06:34 AM 4/2/2003, you wrote:
I recently downloaded the new version of SSH from solarspeed.net

I uninstalled (over telnet behind a firewall) the version of pkgmaster by
running.

/var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers/openssh-clients-server-3.4p1-PM4.uninst

after uninstalling i install the new version via the GUI. When i try to
connect to the server again i get the following error.

"the remote system refused the connection. This Probably means does not
provide the service you are attempting to access or that service is running
on a different port"

I connect using secureCRT. Using the the following settings (which worked
with the old version)

Port 22
Authetication: Password
Cipher: 3DES
MAC: MD5

In putty i get: Network Error: Connection refused.

Am I missing something or what am i doing wrong here.
Any hints/pointers and or advice are much apreciated. Working on a raq4
here. And have the problem on 3 servers which had the old pkgmasters pkg
installed.

Thanks Robbert
Ps. Is there a way to limit ssh traffic to 1 ip only??

did you check the config file after install, it seems to me that it wasn't always correct.
