Re: [cobalt-security] Ipchains and dns - my firewall.

Here is a break down of the things I need for the firewall project:

People who know iphains:
   1. Review current chains and rules (esp. ICMP rules)
   2. Double check the geographic blocking rules

Developers who know the cobalt admin:
   1. Need to start prototyping the admin.
      a. Turn firewall on and off.
      b. Change settings, etc.
   2. Help rolling up pkgs/rpms for distrubution.
      a. Any automated package creation programs? or want to write one?
          ( I can do it by hand, but it's a pain )

Beta Testers:
   1. I have a RaQ 4, but would like to test on a RaQ 3.
   2. Also develop an iptables version for a 500

Anyone who wants to help out will need a sourceforge login, and then I can add you to the CVS developers for the project.

Looks promising.

Want kinda help are you looking for ???

I'm interested and have several testing boxes available, with direct access
to them. (LOL it is annoying to lock yourself out !!)

Hello all,

I have been working (slowly) on a ipchain packet filter firewall for
cobalts. I started a sourceforge project and I do have a very raw
initial release.

URL:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/securecobalt/

You can download my alpha release.
