Vicar aids church funds with film role

A vicar is helping to pay for church renovations by landing a film role
alongside actress Dame Judi Dench.
The Reverend Leonard Payne will play a vicar in the story of novelist Iris
Murdoch, which stars Dame Judi and Kate Winslett.
Fox will pay £1,000 for the use of the church plus an extras fee of £65 for
Mr Payne, which will be used to upgrade the heating in the building.
